Teen Challenge is regarded as one of the most successful drug rehabilitation programs. Teen Challenge is a Christian-based organization, which started caring for troubled youth in New York City in 1958. The program now exists in 82 countries worldwide with invites from 43 more countries who are asking for our help. There are approximately 202 centers in the United States and 1060 around the world helping children, teens, men, and families. Teen Challenge strives to help the whole person, not just the substance abuser.

Teams of builders, architects, and designers from across the Bay Area donated their time and resources to creating the elaborate structures, which went for an average price of $31,393.

“Dreams Happen is a part of Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP). RTP's mission is to build volunteer partnerships to rehabilitate homes and community facilities for low-income homeowners and neighbors — seniors, disabled, or families — so they can live independently in warmth and safety. Of the over one million residents that RTP serves in San Mateo and northern Santa Clara counties, over 94,000 are low-income homeowners with an average annual income of $12,000. RTP is neighbor helping neighbor – people helping people – one community at a time.”

“Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.”
